Two snow storms ago I took these pictures. Just add 2 feet to the amount of snow in the pictures and that is what we have now. It is impossible to walk without snowshoes. The evergreens look like statues of very tall people and some small. I never noticed this before but there are exactly families. A set of parents one taller then the other surrounded with smaller trees of different heights. It seems to snow every 48 hours, so I'm off to shovel before the next snow fall.

Cold and Flu Essential Oil 15 gram $12.00
There are many different ways to use Cold and Flu Essential Oil when you feel the symptoms of a cold or flu striking.
Here are some different ways.
Sinus Inhalation Steam
Boil 4 to 6 cups of water. Put the hot water into a bowl and add 4 to6 drops of Cold and Flu Essential Oil. Hold your head over the bowl and place a towel over your head. As you do this, your eyes should be closed; and breathe in the steam slowly and deeply. Keep your head under the towel, over the hot water for about 5 to 10 minutes. If the heat is too much, take a quick break away from the steam and then resume.
Precautions
Discontinue if you feel any discomfort.
If you have asthma or broken capillaries, the inhalation method should NOT be used.
Stream longer than 15 minutes will not be that much more effective.
Hot water can burn the skin. Be careful.
Using more than 4 to 6 drops will not be as effective. If you smell the Essential Oil throughout the house, you probably used too much.
People with congestive heart failure or pregnant women or epilepsy or infants or small children shouldn’t steam
Essential oil should not be taken internally or used directly onto the skin.
Adding Cold and Flu Essential Oil to Carrier Oil or Lotion
If you want to make your our bath or massage oil at home you need to have a carrier oil. The easiest to purchase is Sunflower or Olive Oil at the grocery store. A carrier oil is any vegetable oil used for diluting pure essential oil. We use Sweet Almond, Grape Seed and Jojoba to make our Bath and Massage Oil. Dilution ratio is 1 tablespoon of base oil or lotion to 6 drops of Cold and Flu Essential Oil.
Adding Cold and Flu Essential Oil to Simmering Pots
A simmering pot normally consist of a small container that should be filled with water and essential oil added. The container is then placed above a candle or light. When the flame burns or the light becomes warm, the oil is heated and disperses its scent throughout the room.
Caution Remember to use caution with any equipment that heats up. Pure essential oils are flammable and must be attended while they are burning. Always ensure that the burners, diffusers, and any equipment using essential oils are out of the reach of children and pets.

Cold and Flu
I had a few minutes tonight to surf the web. With three kids and soon to be four we get a lot of cold and flu bugs going though our house. I found some interesting home remedies. One was to put wet socks on. I don’t even like the thought of wet socks. Another one was to wear a necklace made of garlic. That would be very attractive in both looks and smell especially at a Christmas Party.
There is no cure for a cold or the flu. You can treat the symptoms and aid your body to fight off the virus.
Canadians spend $300 million on cold and flu products to do just that and most mask the symptoms.
Stay home and rest in bed. I don’t think anyone does that unless that are so sick they can’t get out of bed. The virus would not spread so rapidly if us human would stay home.
Drink plenty of fluids and not the alcoholic kind. Water, fruit juice, tea with lemon and honey, frozen fruit juice are all great drinks. The fluids will help loosen mucus and prevent your body from becoming dehydrated.
Gargle with warm water a few times a day to relieve a sore throat. Mix one cup of water to 1tps of salt and gargle.
The best thing to do when the cold and flu symptoms start is to stay at home away from work and school. Eat Chicken Soup. Meditate “I’m living in a healthy body” Uses the bathroom a lot. Make funny sounds using your throat. Last thing is to use our Cold and Flu products to help the body fight off the virus.
