These melt away bath cookies smell and look delightful. They are similar to a frizzy without the big fizz. The combination of oils, shea butter and milk leave your skin soft and moisturized for days.
Ingredients: cornstarch, baking soda, powdered milk, fine sea salt sweet almond oil, citric acid, shea butter, fragrance and glycerine soap base.

Windy Day
The North Shore on Prince Edward Island can be one of the windiest spots in Canada. Sunday Katie and I went out to take pictures of our beautiful island. As you can see, Katie just about blew away. The sand blasting and gusts of wind made it challenging to take pictures. We headed for the woods, for a nice wind-free walk in the sun and trees.

Spring is here!
We know it is spring on the Island when the drying room is full and the dandelions are blooming. For the first time ever I saw two robins on Valentine's Day. Soon we will see all the visitors (with two legs, four legs and wings) that make Prince Edward Island home for the summer. Welcome, everyone, the snow is gone!

The Pins on the Map
Here are a couple of pictures of the map we have in our shop showing where our customers have come from. Look at all the pins! It is so wonderful to see all the cities, towns and villages our soap has travelled to. I'm so grateful that you all came to the shop and tried my soap. My desire is to help people live
in their skin comfortably by using all natural products. The oils you use in your kitchen I use to make products. If it is safe to enough to eat it is safe to put on your skin. I'm thankful for all the different plants and their health benefits. The world is an amazing place!

Clover and Me
I was out taking pictures of the new kids today. Clover is the smallest of the 5 kids and I was having a hard time getting a picture of her. I decided to pick her up and she insisted on reaching as far as she could to give me a kiss. I was trying to get her to look at the camera. Clover reached back and gave me at least 10 kisses. She sure is an affectionate little goat.

Foaming Liquid Soap
Here is the volume of foaming soap. Shannon has pumped out enough to clean 2 sets of hands or more. The volume of liquid soap in the bottles is the same as before, but since the soap is mixed with air as it travels through the pump, the bottle lasts much longer and the consistency is more, well, consistent. For the 2010 season we will have refillable bottles for sale.

Liquid Soap Has A New Bottle
I love to experiment with making new products. I find Liquid Soap one of the most challenging products to make. It takes 6 to 8 hours to cook and 24 hours to cool before I know if the batch is going to turn out. When it does it looks and feels like liquid gold and I can do my happy dance.
Consistency has been a problem in the past with liquid soap. To solve the problem we added more liquid and put the soap in a more expensive bottle with a foaming pump. It works great now. I'm very pleased with the richness of the lather.

NEW Shaving Bars
Oh so long ago, a fellow from Newfoundland was here for a conference. He visited the shop purchasing gifts for his loved ones back home and asked if we made Bayberry Shaving Bars. I thought, 'Wow what a great product!'
We now have Bayberry! And soon to come are Lime and Coconut and Unscented. We make our shaving bars the same way as our cold process soap except for some added cosmetic clay and a higher percentage of castor oil. The clay helps give the soap extra "slip" and also works to purify your skin. Think of a clay or mud mask. The added castor oil helps give a thick creamy lather. All you need to do is grab a shaving brush. We will soon have those as well!

Ducks
We were very fortunate to go camping in Florida in March. Every morning at our camp site these 4 ducks and a drake came expecting breakfast. The ducks knew the routine so well, the campers before us must have fed them. I was missing my daily routine of feeding the goats and along came the ducks. How enjoyable for me!
I'm wondering if the next campers on our site will feed them.

A Year of Forgivness
It has been a long time since I last posted. Going from 3 children to 4 children made things twice as busy. Kris has been apart of our family for a year now. He has definitely taken the funny clown role. The laughter he has provided is unmeasurable. I love him dearly and cannot imagine our family without him.
Things have fallen into a routine now, which is good, since I want more time to post about what is happening here.
Please, forgive me for my year of absenteeism.
