Happy Life

While the house is quiet at night and I’m reading about happiness and how to get it. There is a new book "The How of Happiness: A Scientific Approach to Getting the Life You Want" by author Sonja Lyubomirsky. According to Lyubomirsky’s research, approximately 50% of how happy we are is determined by genetics, 10% by life experiences and the rest is in our power.
Here are four suggestions from Lyubomirsky on exactly what to do:
1) Express Your Gratitude. Keep a gratitude journal. Write down at least 3 to 5 things you are grateful for once per week.
2) Learn To Forgive. Write a letter to all the people who have done you wrong. You do not need to mail it. Let go of all the anger, bitterness and hurt in the letter.
3) Fake It. Pretend you are happy and it lifts your spirits. Try it, it works.
4) Sweat Regularly. Physical activity helps you feel more in control of your body and your health.
