Added more Heart

Here are some new heart molds for you to choose from. They will be ready for sale the middle of May. We have lots more new beautiful molds this summer.

4H group for 2009

This year we had 7 two legged kids in the 4H group. They have a project book to complete.

We build a shed for the goats to stay outside.

They learnt to cut hooves.

They learnt how to clip hair.

Van Der Geer

The Van Der Geer family stopped in today from Holland. They were a happy laughing bunch. I wish I knew Dutch so I could understand what was so funny, but I laughed anyway. Willem, Dick, Jannie, Colinda, Bob, and Max.

Kids in a Barrel

I do not know how this could ever have happened but it caused a big kerfluffle in the barn with kids crying and mom beside herself with worry.

Tulip's top lip is out past the bottom. She is trying to console her daughter Angel.

The joy and unpredictability of kids will soon be upon us again.

The round bale of hay is in the barn, Julia has stopped sucking her finger and the new labels are back from the designers.

Happy New Year 2009

This is Claire, a little goat lover in pink, and Buttercup and Matt Sundin when he was little in spring 2008.

It feels like a long time since my last post. I’ve been video taping daily blog posts but do not have the software to put the video on the blog yet. I’m very excited to show you my daily video blogs.
I need to get a buck (male goat) soon to breed the ladies. There will be lots of excitement in the barn went he first arrives. The buck's stink is something terrible (although the goat ladies love it!). Too bad I can smell him when I step out of the house and he is in the barn. That is why I don’t keep a buck here. I rent one every year. A doe’s (female goat's) gestation is 150 days or approximately 5 months. We will have kids (baby goats) by June. There is almost nothing cuter then a goat kid. The only thing cuter is more goat kids. We should have 20 plus goat kids. If you cannot come to see them, I will post lots of pictures for you.

Attitude of Gratitude

I’m very grateful for the Small Ruminant Club from the Vet College. They came while I was away and trimmed the goats’ hooves. Not only have they done a great job they left me a Thank you card and a mug of candy. I feel I’m the one that should be getting them a mug of candy but they are grateful to have a herd of goat’s hooves to trim
